Complete guide to DooDates features

DooDates goes far beyond a simple date poll. AI chat to create one in 10 seconds, saved respondent groups, four smart result views, automatic reminders (Solo), multi-format exports, advanced settings… This guide walks through every feature available to coordinate a group efficiently.

In 3 steps

1

Create your poll with the AI chat in 10 seconds

Click "Find a time slot" and describe your event in plain language: "marketing meeting next Tuesday or Thursday, 1h, meeting room B". The AI assistant generates the full poll — title, proposed dates, and settings — in a few seconds. Edit whatever you like, or build it entirely by hand if you prefer.

2

Configure the advanced settings

Before sharing: add the event location (shown in the invitation and on the voting page), an automatic voting deadline, the event duration, and a personalized welcome message. Turn on anonymous mode so respondents answer without seeing others' votes. Save your respondents as a Group to find them again in one click for your next poll.

3

Analyze results with the 4 smart filters

Table: full view, who voted what. Consensus: automatically hides dates rejected by too many respondents — only viable options remain. Engagement: sorts members by participation rate, ideal for targeting reminders. Blockers: pinpoints exactly who is preventing each date from working. Send reminders to non-voters in one click from this page, then export the results as CSV, PDF, Markdown, or JSON.

Frequently asked questions

Click "Find a time slot" and type or dictate a description of your event (e.g. "3 possible time slots for a team meeting next week, 2h, video call"). The AI interprets your request and generates a pre-filled poll with the right dates, title, and settings. All you have to do is review and share — or adjust if needed. Manual creation is always available.

Table shows the full matrix (who is available on which date). Consensus automatically hides dates rejected by too many respondents — it only shows you the time slots where no one is blocked. Engagement sorts respondents by response rate, useful for spotting inactive members to remind. Blockers shows, for each date, the people who can't make it, letting you make an informed decision even when no date works 100%.

A group is a list of contacts (names + emails) that you save once and reuse for every poll. In the creator, click "Groups", name your group ("Marketing team", "Football club", "Family") and add the members. For your next poll, select the group in one click — all respondents are added automatically. Groups can be edited at any time.

Event location (shown in the invitation and the voting page), voting deadline date and time (automatic poll closing), event duration (shown to voters), personalized welcome message (visible on the voting page), anonymous mode (respondents don't see others' answers), and vote restriction (one answer per respondent per date).

From the results page, click "Export". The available formats are CSV (for Excel or Google Sheets), PDF (for an official document), Markdown (for a wiki or Notion), and JSON (for a technical integration). CSV is free; PDF, Markdown and JSON are included in Solo.
